Rich Barnes-USA TODAY Sports

As is so often the case, the betting public is anteing on both substantial road favorites on Friday night college football. Maryland is a 10.5-point road favorite at Florida International, up from an opening line of -9, as 72 percent of spread bets offshore and in Vegas are on the Terrapins. Likewise, Louisville looms as a 14.5-point favorite and as high as 15 in some sportsbooks. Still 73 percent of bets have been placed with the Cardinals. Though sportsbooks have seen more wagers on the over in each game, Maryland-FIU at a modest 58 percent, with Louisville-Syracuse at 72 percent, causing the total to jump from 64 to 68.5.
